TIME AND PLACE. Wikipedia offers a definition of ancient history as being events that took place between approximately 3200 BC and 500 AD. The approximations are because the numbers that we are applying are from a political calender that was introduced in 1582 and adopted in England around 1755 with the adoption of the Navigation Act. Nonetheless, the events contained in this section roughly conform to that principle with the exception of earlier events.
